Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log a climb?

Open the Logbook tab and tap the + icon in the top-right. Select a video from your camera roll, pick your gym and grade, and save. Your climb will appear in your logbook and count toward your weekly goals.

Why don't I see my points update after logging a climb?

Points are calculated from your weekly goals, not from individual climbs. Log a climb that matches one of your 5 active weekly goals, and your points will update automatically. Goals rotate every Monday.

How does ranking work?

Dyno has 5 tiers: Newbie → Competent → Beta-Breaker → Elite → The Flash. You earn points by completing weekly goals. Skip a week with zero verified climbs and you lose 8 points (floor: 0). Your tier updates automatically as you cross point thresholds.

My videos aren't uploading

Check your internet connection first — Dyno uploads videos directly to our video hosting provider and large files need a stable connection. If the issue continues, email us with your username and roughly when you tried to upload.

How do I add friends?

Open the Search tab and search by username. Tap a user to view their profile, then send a friend request. Once they accept, you can see each other's featured climbs and send direct messages.

How do I delete my account?

Open the Profile tab, tap the settings (gear) icon in the top-right, scroll to Danger Zone, and tap Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, climbing videos, messages, and all associated data will be removed from our servers.

My gym isn't listed — can you add it?

Dyno currently supports BUMP Pavilion Bukit Jalil, BUMP Jaya One, BUMP Sunway Square, BHub, and Batuu. If your gym isn't listed, email us with the gym name and a link to its grading system and we'll consider adding it in a future update.

Is Dyno free?

Yes. Dyno is completely free with no ads, no in-app purchases, and no subscriptions. We may introduce optional cosmetic features in future updates, but the core logbook, goals, and ranking system will always be free.

I found a bug

Sorry about that — please email us with as much detail as you can: what you were doing, what happened, your device model, and iOS version. Screenshots help a lot.
